Cable lock appears to be ok but the supplied retaining bracket is poorly designed and finished. This is a very weak plastic, as soon as I started tightening the clamp screws the corner of the bracket broke off. The third photo is a redesigned mount sent to me by the company's customer service. Long length and great mount. I need a lock big enough to get the job done but small enough to be out of the way. This is a really good lock and cable at an attractive price. The 1/2 inch thick cable is slightly more thief-proof for the average thug attempting to cut it with cable cutters. Most cable locks in this price range are only 3/8" or 0.40" thick. Yes, it could be cut if the thief were determined enough, but I think this one is strong enough that only a dedicated, experienced bike thief could cut it.
