Works seamlessly with several powerful devices

tl;dr - if you have external hard drives that turn off from time to time and your operating system reports that the device is tightening lots of power, this hub should solve the problem. My old D-Link DUB-H7 USB 2.0 High Speed 7-Port Hub (original blue/grey version) no longer supplies enough power for my new external hard drives, the Western Digital My Passport Essential SE. 1TB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive (Black) . I've been looking at what's changed in the USB specification and…

Pros
  • Backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

I spent a lot of time researching USB 3.0 hubs before I bought this one from D-Link. I like the fact that it has a 4 amp power supply and delivers 900mA per port. I wanted to use this with my new MacBook Pro with Retina display but it has a couple of issues that make it unusable. The first thing I noticed was that my Logitech M510 wireless mouse was freezing. The wireless keyboard seems to work, but I wasn't typing much when trying to get the hub to work, so I don't know if there are any…

Pros
  • Micro USB connector
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Worked great and all my devices are recognized as working. My only real complaint is that my iPad won't charge, which was one of my main issues. To charge my iPad I have to disable the port and connect directly, a big problem and something that Revane says they find unnecessary (the device has an independent power supply and is capable of running and powering different ones external drives that do not have their own power connectors other than USB). So, I feel a bit cheated, but "it works".

Pros
  • Plug and play connectivity
Cons
  • Nothing here

Didn't always work

Aside from being unnecessarily large and cumbersome for the number of ports supported, it didn't always work. I'm having trouble getting my Surface Pro to recognize the devices I have plugged into the ports. Sometimes he recognized her, sometimes not. I ended up giving up this device in favor of Satech (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BERGFV6/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_img_sol_23).

Pros
  • USB 3.0 for fast data transfer - up to 10x faster than USB 2.0
Cons
  • For the old

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR MULTIPLE HARD DRIVES SIMULTANEOUSLY

Really good if you need to connect 4 hard drives at the same time, it really works. It comes with a 4AMP power supply. I tried several different ones like this purchase, only this brand worked. Highly recommended. Oh but the HUB is not the same as in the picture, it's much smaller and different shape, in fact it's better.

Pros
  • Add 4 USB 3.0 ports to your PC or Mac
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Good but has some design flaws

This hub works well but there are two things I didn't like. I thought the domino dots used to number each port were LEDs, but they're not, they're just inserts in a plastic case. So there are no LEDs to show which ports are active like there are on some other hubs. There is a power LED, but it's on the bottom of the case and isn't visible when the hub is on the table.

Pros
  • 4 fast charge ports increase the power of your mobile devices
Cons
  • Functionality
