I was hoping for a quality replacement at a great price! after removal and installation. We visited several local auto parts stores to test the part after installation. Both times the voltage regulator was defective. The system was partially recharged at 3 volts. He pressed 16 to 17 on each test after the battery was fully charged. I would not buy the part. Such a pain to undress and change just to do it all over again. so disappointing

Looks like new. Loose fit before sliding nuts, which I've learned from previous reviews, and it's true. I measured 13.7V at the battery when idling. After looking at both cheap and expensive reviews, I found that about 25% of each had bad reviews and the rest were positive, leading me to believe that my chances of getting a good or bad review were equal were no matter which ones I bought. At least after installing it today it seems like I'm in luck.

On my 2003 Ford Focus (2.0L ZTEC engine) the battery light was flashing intermittently. The headlights and dashboard also dim and light up intermittently. I measured the output voltage and got 13.9 to 14.2 volts with the car running. We contacted Advanced, they checked the battery and alternator and said both are fine. Bought this item to replace the original alternator on my 2000 Focus after the slip rings had worn out for about 1250000 miles. It arrived about a week later, as I said, it's brand new and looks exactly like the original Ford 6G alternator. The pulley is slightly different but still fits perfectly.
