Great starter! Best in Starters and Generators

Installed on my F150 4.9L 1996 with manual transmission. This starter has the exact same connections and comes with an extra cable if you want to connect it if yours is broken. The truck started right away, the fastest rollover I've had. I've been waiting for this review, it's been a few months since I put it on and it's still going great. Starts the car every time. Highly recommended, it took me an hour to remove the old launcher and install this one. #do it yourself

Great Value - Replacement Parts

My truck's starter failed so I pulled out an old 230,000 mile original to replace or rebuild. The electronics store charged $50 to $80 for the rebuild, the parts store charged $120 for the rebuild and $180 for a rebuild. I have used DB Electrical in the past and decided to buy another one. The starter arrived and it took about 10 minutes to install. The build quality was excellent and the starter fitted perfectly. With everything rezipped, the truck fired faster and harder than ever. SPECIAL…

1995 F150 4.9 Engine I6

Bought for my 95 F150. After getting into trouble a few times with a horrible "knock" when turning the key, I started shopping. I came across this starter and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. I prefer a new starter to a repair device. It was well packaged and matched mine perfectly. 2 screws and 2 wires and that's it. This one came with a hot wire that I didn't need on the solenoid so I removed it from the unit. Installation was easy and fit perfectly. After reconnecting…

Great part! - Parts

Picked up for my 1995 Ford F-150 4.9l l6 manual transmission. At 161,000 miles, the original Motorcraft starter in the Qdoba lot stopped working. I drove the truck home and cranked the starter until it struggled but eventually rolled over. Back home I looked around for an inexpensive but high quality part. Autozone asked $159 (without core), NAPA asked $150 (including core). However, this piece cost $46 (only $56 with 1 day shipping) and other reviews, although few, were generally positive. I…
