Had good problems with electric fuel pumps

Gave up work on day 1 but got a refund. I have had good luck with other Evil Energy products in the past and they were supportive of their product and took care of my issue.

Rating in one word, quality!

My first purchase of an Evil Energy fuel pump and I am very happy with the product. The packaging and contents were superior to 'standard' items from the store. I haven't installed it for a while but the pump is quiet and the car drives great!

Easy installation, excellent performance.

Everything I needed was in the pump. And some things I don't need. The pump works amazingly well. I noticed an immediate improvement even before I adjusted the controller. Installation was easy and the instructions were decent. Great value for the price.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Good pump. Great price

So far so good. Mounted on a square body. Small change required. It would be better if instead of ready-made wires, they supplied terminals and connectors. The pickup filter could definitely be better. As a result, I glued the filter with a soldering iron.

died 1 month later. Do not buy this pump. Leave yourself in a dilemma.

In the photo I'm stuck on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. The pump has always been very noisy, but I figured that was just because it was cheap. You get what you pay for. Left me stuck at a month, just before the return window - find out. 0/5 stars. Do not buy this fuel pump.

Requires voltage matching

Did you guys jumper the relay and connect to a 12.5v switch? Mine was working great until I returned to the factory for a trip and now my car runs like garbage. I add a 5 pin relay with 87a giving power to pin 86 of the factory relay and pin 87 on the bypass relay giving 12.5. 12.5 to the pump. I'm not sure if I'm pulling out of the box or walking around though. Someone else?

Fuel system wear

It took 2 days to install the pump and a drive of about 70km. The car died and had to be towed. I removed it and you can see immediately why I had no fuel pressure, the supplied hose was almost completely broken. The rubber seal for the pump was swollen 2 times compared to actual size. My advice, spend a little more and buy a Walbro, make sure it's not a fake. If you buy this pump make sure you have AAA

02' Legacy, Not a perfect fit, but modifications are possible.

2002 Subaru Legacy L Wagon, 2.0L SwapPower Plugged In Immediately! The best. The pump block was about 1/4 inch longer than stock parts. I removed and cut the separator at the bottom (rubber gasket) then I had to cut the top of the inlet gasket (on top of the pump) at the factory assembly to mount it. It then shrunk to about 1/16th, so I cut the plastic tabs so they snap into place. - since the point saved $15. It still leaves a gap around the neck when put on, should be tighter or have anโ€ฆ

Bad fittings

A week ago I installed a fuel pump. However, after a few days I had the same difficult starting problems. After removing the fuel pump, I noticed that there was no special fixture holding the "fuel strainer" (it also fell out somewhere in the tank). Maybe it's my fault? Maybe. However, to be honest, I've changed fuel pumps many times, so I'm not new to installing this part. After removing the rubber fuel line that came with the kit, it looked like it had been chewed up by the gasoline. In other
