Fulton ETCHL 0700: Secure Spare Tire Carrier with Locking Bracket and Key Lock Review

I needed a solution to mount a spare tire on my cargo trailer. Most of the products found were either expensive or didn't work. My problem is that my cargo trailer's top tube is a 2 1/2" round tube. By placing the front of the tire centered over the hitch, the tire is able to grab the top tube and secure it in place. The tire restricts turning and loading the trailer in. Simple solution.

Product worked as advertised and attached my boat's spare tire to the boat trailer frame (3" wide, 4" high). I used regular lug nuts to attach the tire to the u-bolt and then put the locking arms in place. It would be nice if the nuts were included, but I already had them. This product was not delivered as described in the information provided by the supplier. The seller says the kit comes with two nuts, but this is not the case. One of two things has to happen: either the seller corrects their product description, or they start going insane. A visit to your local hardware store is all it takes to purchase two half inch diameter fine thread nuts which will now allow this item to do what it was bought to do. Same complaint as other reviewers. There are no nuts. Nuts are listed in the description. Don't claim what you don't provide, False advertising. If you have a Karavan 5x8 thatched roof cargo trailer, do not purchase this product unless you want to modify it. Frame A on a 5x8 trailer is only 1 1/2 wide.
