Genuine Honda 17670 SM4 A04 Fuel Filler Review

I've had the gas cap for 2 months now and haven't had any problems. This is a genuine Honda gas cap. I called my local Honda dealer and they asked for another $30! Also, the order was delivered earlier than expected. Shortly after receiving the gas cap I had to smoke the car and everything went without any problems. Aha!

Ten years later the old cover with the Honda logo had to be replaced. I decided to replace the cap. Looks different (cheaper) than the original but works the same. Tried a few non-original caps and none of them worked or closed. Although I suspect this cap is made by one of those vendors. Works fine, buy.

I did some research on the CR-V I bought this gas cap for. The check engine light came on. We just bought a car. I ordered this because my check engine light came on. I checked the system with my trusty OBD2 device and got error P1457, EVAP control system leak. The most common cause of this type of error is a defective gas cap, which is why I ordered this gas cap.
