Good, but. for exterior accessories

The holes perfectly match the indentations on the front bumper of my 2016 Legacy. I ended up drilling 2 more holes to match the 2 holes that came with the kit, slightly lower on the plate to create 2 additional mounting points for stability. It was too far from the bumper because of the rubber "washers" so I removed them. This created an issue where the top screws were sticking out too much and grazing against part of the chrome grille. I had to move a little.

To fit STI Limited 2021

comes with all the parts needed to install the bracket using the holes in the front bumper cover for the Japanese domestic market and then attach the four hole US (CA) specification plate. I actually bought these thinking I needed to find good nuts (a rubber coated nut that fits bumper holes and expands when tightened so it can be inserted and tightened from the front). No additional purchases are necessary, although I bought a couple of silicon plate holders mainly for the back so it doesn't…

Quality product to frame

This mount requires narrower North American license plate holes. My dealer has already drilled these holes. I would have preferred if they weren't drilled, but since they were I bought this mount. This is a heavy duty powder coated steel bracket that attaches securely to the bumper with the self tapping screws provided. There are rubber stoppers on the back of the mount. They keep the bracket and license plate away from the bumper and prevent rubbing on the paintwork. Installation took < 5…

2011 Outback with no existing holes

I purchased a 2011 Outback in a condition that did not require a front license plate. It was extremely easy to install and came with all the hardware required. The only items I needed were a 1/8" drill bit, a 3/8" drill bit, a drill bit, and a Phillips screwdriver (I used a bit for my drill bit). My car didn't have mounting holes, but it did have standard "dimples" in the front bumper that were perfect for drilling holes. I decided to mark my drill bits 7/8" from the tip as suggested in the…

Better than aftermarket but more expensive

If you're spending a lot of money on a Subaru I think it should come with a front license plate bracket. Instead, it comes with a few dimples. Shirley Temple may have been dimpled cute, and cars do not require front license plates in all states (Florida and Arizona are some exceptions), but license plate brackets should be provided for those states that require front license plates. . Instead, most dealers simply drill a pilot hole in the two cutouts and screw the plate into those holes. I…
