If you've isolated the fuel pump properly, this dampener will reduce clicks and bumps by half. This is a great and easy addition.

Definitely muffles the sound. I can still hear the ticking from outside the trailer. But inside, where it matters. I can't hear it anymore

Sounds less like knock-knock-knock and more like click-click-click. The noise cancellation is not strong. Better just wrap the pump in a towel. Definitely not worth the price. 2 stars instead of 1 because it does SOMETHING but not much.

My heater stopped working after a few weeks. After taking everything apart, I found that the problem was in this metering pump damper. The nipple that connects to the fuel line at the outlet was completely closed and did not drain any gasoline. I would love to get my money back for this product

It is important to use a hard wire to the heater so that fuel pulses are not dampened. With this damper, my heater smoked a lot more when starting than without it. Removing this damper fixed the smoke issue on takeoff. If you are at low altitude (boat etc) this might still work for you. The noise reduction is about 25-50%.
