🚚 21-Inch Aluminum Lund 6134T Trailer Tongue Truck Box with Diamond Plated Finish in Sleek Silver Review

I had a really hard time finding a tongue box for my trailer that would fit all my gear and clear the top of the tongue jack. That's great. It also proved to be totally dustproof and waterproof. It's fairly light but surprisingly durable. I would not recommend this box. You will not be disappointed.

I was hesitant to buy this online without seeing it. But with the delivery of 2 days I decided to try it. No disappointments. Big, durable and the perfect companion to our versatile trailer. Great look and functionality. I had to remove the latch and lengthen the mounting hole to adjust the lid's closed position to compress the seal, but that was common. Great value and upgrade for any trailer.

Unfortunately the box arrived damaged and has since been sent back. I wasn't interested in a replacement for the simple reason that the aluminum gauge isn't suitable. I think it's 1/16 inch thick. Too bad because everything else in the box is top notch including the gas spring, sealed box, beveled lid design and a box that mounts flush with my trailer. Whoever assembled this box cared about what they were doing. I bought different boxes. All had a common trend. Cut as many corners as possible to reduce your cost margin. This box has full seam welding on all seams and corners. It's incredibly light, has a quality lock, and the hydraulic lid lifter is a nice bonus. I bought this box for my camper to house my propane tank and battery. It is high quality and all sizes fit me. Unfortunately the actual cap opening size was not given. A 20 lb propane tank will not fit through the opening. The hinge strip reduces the size of the cap opening so always keep that in mind if you plan on using this. This is a good functional box for a cheap trailer but nothing to brag about. Mine came with an odd "ripple" at the bottom that seems to be related to the welding, as if the parts weren't cut to exactly the right size or shape and then put them in a welding jig and still got them to work. I bought this box to add extra storage for our teardrop camper. It was actually pretty easy to install, but it doesn't come with any installation hardware.
