Drive confidently on broken glass!

I'm tired of changing my wife's tires every week. We live in a place where local scavengers like to throw bottles from their trucks onto bike lanes and roadsides. Sometimes there is no sure way. I've always been impressed with the Maxxis tires on my MTN bikes, so I gave them a try. So far they've held their own against everything except a large shard of glass that ruined the tire. They have relatively low rolling resistance and excellent grip on wet and even light snow. They've ridden over 500…

very good tire fits tire

Having ridden approximately 60,000 miles in my 30+ years as an adult and tried many brands and models of road tires, my impression of the Maxxis Re-Fuse is that it is a very good tire is and good price. I'm in my 60's and I'm training for nothing. All I want is a good tire with good puncture resistance that's at least a little cheaper than a car tire. High rolling resistance thanks to the rib profile and rigidity.

High rolling resistance due to bead profile and harder compound. That being said, this will not be my journey to a crit race or downhill tire. I locked my rear wheel pretty badly on a descent today, less rolling resistance = less stickiness. Still a small price to pay. I didn't have many apartments with them at all. Just the other day I had to walk through a glass minefield, trying to scrape everything off with my bottle while driving and getting ready for the apartment. No flat! I had a nasty…

Do you travel a lot? Very good in my opinion

I don't write many product reviews but this tire did so well I just had to say something. I ride 10-20 miles a day almost every day and have been for the past 25 years. Up until 5 months ago I was disappointed with several apartments I came across from another 'better known' brand. Having never heard of it, I took a chance and let me tell you that I enjoyed this Maxxis tire. Not only did I not have any records with it, but after 3 months there was hardly any wear and tear. It's just very…
