Motorad MGC-837T tethered gas cap

Delivered quickly, the tethered gas cap was very easy to fit and fits my 2009 Maxima perfectly. The engine runs smoothly again and the malfunction light went out almost immediately.

2012 Nissan Sentra good for gas cap

Perfect fit for 2012 Nissan Sentra! I bought one from Advance Auto Parts that was supposed to fit my car but it didn't. Not wanting to wander around other stores, I checked out Revain. This cover also fit my car and arrived in two days!

Pros
  • So far satisfied
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Nice new gas cap with leash attachment

Perfect fit for our 2009 Jeep Wrangler. The cap and leash kit includes a set of screws to attach the leash to the rim under the gas cap. There are several different sizes so you can choose the one that fits your particular "leash" (I don't know what else to call it). We installed it quickly and now it works great.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Won't tighten with caps

I'd like to contact the seller before viewing but can't seem to. It was well packaged, delivered as expected and the thread pattern matched. These are the latest expectations that have come true. It took considerable effort to get the "click" out of the box. Now, after 5 months and frequent warnings that the motor is not tight, it is impossible to tighten it with a click. Not worth the escalation.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poor repairability

Reason for stopping - capping

This replaced my original cap hopefully to fix a bug that won't go away and is only causing problems on the first start after accelerating. After I filled up the tank and drove about 15 miles, my car began to stutter whenever I slowed down or stopped, to the point where it would stall all the time unless I pressed the gas pedal. Came home, put on an old gas cap and my car ran great! It was a bad choice for the 2007 accent!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Communication with seller

He turned off my check engine light

2003 Jeep Wrangler with 105,000 miles. The check engine light came on. The code indicates a leak in the fuel return system, most likely a faulty gas cap. Cap checked, seal warning. Replaced with these, reset the engine light. so far turned off. PS: TJ Jeeps are difficult to reset with diagnostic tools. You can clear the code, but the display stays on. Disconnect the battery cables for fifteen minutes, reconnect and the engine light and fault will reset. Jeep TJ Undocumented feature.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Quality

Check engine light came on

My 2012 Subaru Impreza had an exhaust failure because the stock gas cap failed the visual inspection. So I bought this, attached it to the car, then went back and did the emissions test. But then a few days later the check engine light came on and the code indicated that the fuel cap was the most likely problem. So I unscrewed the gas cap, reset the code and the next day the check engine light came on again. I then bought a cheap Slant to see if it was the gas cap and was surprised that the…

disappointed that the strap is not built in.

I bought this gas cap for my 2007 Nissan Murano about 2 months ago. My car set a large vaporizer leak code every time my tank was about half full a few weeks after using this gas cap. I already had new solenoids installed before purchasing this cap. I chose this type because it has a strap for hanging when pumping gas. But what I just noticed today is that the strap is a separate piece that fits over the cap. isn't built in and is so thick that the lid can't close all the way, although I hear a
