Excellent filtering. Bad and annoying design.

I have two. Small and medium models (one for my car, one for a friend with a bike). The average model is very annoying! It was designed for the lab, NOT for real life! Laboratory: always water in gasoline. Service life: Never fill petrol with water. They don't understand that people buy it as "insurance" so you're dealing with straight gas most of the time. So the lab idea of leaving room for water under the filter lets you deal with half a glass of liquid. Stupid. Does it mix with water? Not…

Hurricane Harvey fuel depot.

Before Hurricane Harvey, I stocked up on diesel and gasoline. I have some old military grade 5 gallon (metal) jerry cans that I use for fuel storage. These are metal tanks and will rust inside if left unused for a while. I bought it to filter fuel before it goes into the car's tanks. That works great. I noticed a bit of sediment in the trap area (which is what the lower area is under the filter for). Buy a flexible extension cord, it will make it much easier to use. To transfer fuel I use a…

Working highly recommend

March 28th 2018 I have been storing ethanol blended fuel for about 6 months, during which time I have bought a new car and have been wary of filling it with stored petrol. I was afraid there would be water and metal residue from the tanks. So I bought Mr. Funnel.funnel to skip gasoline. Definitely filtered out some visible particles. Important Note: Be aware of the GPM flow rate in the funnel you are purchasing. I used 5 gallon fuel tanks on my car. At times the funnel was overloaded. At first…

Excellent medium sized filter for RUG (regular unleaded petrol) and kerosene bought at service stations. This (medium) fuel filter Mr. Funnel AF3CB was used AFTER the last few fills of RUG's 2 gallon petrol cans. When I get home I can slowly pour the contents of the gas cartridges through this filter into a large clear glass bottle. The filter removes water and impurities that have entered the pump. I can then use the filter again on another clear glass bottle to filter the first filter bottle…

In my test it caught all the junk but missed some of the water/ethanol mix.

I was delighted to get this filter in the mail today as I have a 5 gallon can of ethanol mixed gasoline that contained water and some dirt. I took a filter, a can of gasoline and some clear glass bottles to collect the filtered gasoline. I continue to quickly pour gasoline through the filter into bottles to visually see the result after the filter. I didn't let the gas rise more than half the length of the filter elements. I then poured what was left in the filter into another clean, clear…
