Obviously high quality.

Although small, this slide bolt is strong, sturdy and very well made. I noticed it's made in America - no wonder. You will not be disappointed.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • A little repairability

The product is the back as in the photo.

The product is not the same as in the photo. This is an inversion, meaning the bolt handle has a notch on the opposite side. It matters if you mount on the left side door and not the right one. I can't use it.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • frequency

It's a good size and will stand up to the weather.

There are many uses for a barrel bolt and I needed three for our new chicken. We gutted a log cabin on our property to convert it into greenhouses, a workshop and a chicken coop. The chicks now live in the former bathroom, so I needed a latch for the inner door. After adding an open fenced area I needed two more doors for the door and a small door in the wall for the chickens to go outside. The only downside to this is that if you are using a latch the overall length is 4 inches and both sides…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Repair
