I Failed Hubs

I like the beveled edge for inserting plugs, but this hub just didn't suit me. My specs are: - Computer: Dell XPS 8910 SE - OS: Windows 10 with latest updates and drivers - Port: USB 3.1 Gen 2 - Backup command: xcopy - Disk 1: Sandisk Extreme Pro Portable 1TB SSD with USB 3.1 Gen 2 support Result : Disk I/O errors and file corruption. A repair attempt with chkdsk through this hub also failed. - Drive 2: WD My Passport 2TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive. Result: Large files that could not be copied

Great powered USB 3.1 hub for my iMac 27 " Retina

I wanted to upgrade the connectivity of my devices on my new system to support the faster USB 3.1 technology. I am using the ORICO Powered USB hub very satisfied so far I connected several devices - flash drives, iPad, keyboard, mouse and multifunction SSD reader and they all worked perfectly Computer goes to sleep (hibernate) mode Hub stops charging Me thought since this is a self powered hub it charges devices through the hub even when the computer is in sleep mode... ...but it seems likeโ€ฆ

Good, but. Best in Computers & Accessories

The included USB and power cables are terribly short. The 2.1/5.5mm barrel plug adapter solved my power cord problem. I bought a longer USB3.2 cable rated at 10Gbps. transfer rates, but the hub is finicky about using adapters for the USB A side. The cable that ended up working was a long USB-C to USB-A cable, which is commonly used for Oculus VR headsets. not working. It doesn't register at all that I have a hub connected. Instead I used the USB-A side of my computer (USB 3.2 PCIe card) and had

Not USB3.1 Gen2 on computers and accessories

The hub comes with a USB-A to USB-A cable to connect the hub to a PC. I haven't come across a laptop or PC that has a USB-A port that supports USB3.1 Gen2 (= 10 Gbps = SuperSpeed+) speed. At least all my PCs and laptops can only provide USB3.1 Gen1 speeds (= 5Gbps = USB3.0 = SuperSpeed) on their USB-A ports, while Gen2 speeds are only available on USB-C ports. So it's beyond my understanding. Why did Orico put a USB-A input connector on this hub instead of a standard USB-C connector - unless aโ€ฆ

Didn't work for me at 10Gbps

I couldn't get this to work reliably at 10Gbps with devices that worked correctly when plugged directly into the PC port. I first tried using this with the included USB-A to USB-A cable and a 10Gbps USB 3.1 port on my PC. It just runs and never connects properly. I then tried connecting it to a 20Gb/s USB-C port on my PC (Startech PEXUSB321C add-on card). As others have experienced, I couldn't get this to work at all when trying to connect a 'certified' 10Gbps 'male' USB-C to USB-A 'male' Useโ€ฆ
