Pop Lock PL8450 Tailgate Frontier Review

Fits and works perfectly. Connections are made on the passenger side of the B-pillar, so pressing the release button twice opens the rear door along with all three other doors. Very comfortable, excellent value for money. Everything you need is included. The installation took about 2 hours, most of which was spent running the wiring to the frame and to the B-pillar.

I wanted the tailgate to latch when I locked my truck. Read a lot about this product before you buy it. It's worth it. Installing the device in the back door is quite simple. Pulling the cable into the cabin is a bit more difficult. An elevator would be easier. Worn wire connector located behind the pillar between the front and rear doors. Skin removal is required. Very well built for the price, time will tell how long the drive will last. Easy to install, no adjustments or modifications, just screw on and route the wire. I chose the factory seat belt and hooked it to the driver's tailgate. I'm not a fan of scotch locks but chose them as it's in a very dry safe area and the wires are well protected from vibration. After watching a YouTube video of a guy installing this for 2019 I bought it. Lock and lock works for 2006-2013 Nissan Frontier 2019. I installed the locking mechanism in 30 minutes and have yet to wire the wire to the cabin. Works fine. Nissan should have provided this feature from the factory! The noise when locking is very loud, but it's okay, the main thing is that it prevents my suitcase from being stolen! The hardest part of the installation is getting the cables into the cab of the truck. I installed this on my 2019 Frontier cab. My truck has a hard trunk lid and I often use the tailgate lock. Installing the device itself is very easy; with wiring more pain, but not so bad. I clung to the wiring harness on the passenger side center pillar. Blue wire from Pop&Lock wire connected to light purple wire on B-pillar wiring harness; the green wire of the Pop&Lock cable that connects to the blue wire of the B-pillar wiring harness.
