This alternator not only looks great (brushed aluminum), it works too. Outstanding no-load performance up to 5000 rpm. I took care of the low current problem I had with the stock (tired) alternator.

What I don't like is that I don't have any option or clear information on how to return or exchange this product. After several months of body work, I expertly installed the alternator and it left me in a bind. The reading voltage is less than 12 volts. This is a 135 amp part. Worked on a Pontiac Grand Prix 76 (with 72455 engine). With new wiring and meter, the output voltage is about 14.6 volts. Engine over 1000 rpm. Easy to install, I just used a 1 wire configuration. Recommended for old cars being rebuilt. I took off a star for not recommending the strap in the instructions as the original strap I had was too big and I had the original wiring to connect it, but I wasn't sure it would work with my configuration .
