Good product for the price but not what I needed for a budgie cage. Used for water but I think it's better to use as a feeder. Whenever I moved my cage, water splashed everywhere.

I bought 2. One for food and one for water. Water actually stinks the very next day! I've tried alcohol bleaching with different detergents. The ONLY solution that only worked for a few days was GUM brand periodontal fluid! I had to get a water bowl with a €1.00 hose that NEVER stinks. STRANGE!

Unlike some other feeders it holds the seeds in place and allows the birds to reach them at the same time but the plastic ring that goes around the top keeps the silo in place and spot and attaches to it. The cage bars are a thin plastic tab that breaks easily. If the ring could be attached to the cage with a screw or something solid that would be a good design, but it isn't.

Funnel feeders are much better than cups. Less food waste. Good seed is not lost hiding under the hull. You can see so clearly with seeds that you won't forget when to refill and it will be less frequent than with cups. Helps prevent "poop" from entering the seeds. I bought 4 for my breeding cages. They didn't stick well to any of the four different cells I have. So I just put them on the bottom of the cage. I prefer it anyway. Food is the only thing my birds do at the bottom of the cage, so…
