Works fine when set correctly

Layer adhesion isn't the best but the PLA I use adheres to it quite well. It dissolves about as quickly as any other PVA filament (i.e. don't expect it to dissolve in just a few minutes, you'll need to let it soak for at least a couple of hours). I've found my printer to extrude hot (210°C) without burning or clogging, but I can't tell how accurate my thermistor is. Using the PrusaSlicer and its swiping function, I've completed multiple print jobs, each with 200 filament changes, without a…

Pros
  • Recommended extrusion temp/nozzle 160°C - 180°C (320°F - 356°F)
Cons
  • Older model

Works fine after some trial and error

This is a very fibrous material that doesn't stick well but through trial and error I got a good print. I found that I had to increase the temperature for the first coat to 200°C and apply a thick first coat at 10mm/s to ensure adhesion. After that I lowered the temperature to 190°C and kept the print speed below 40mm/s. It still doesn't stick very well to very small areas on PLA. In my attached picture there should have been some kind of support between the middle and top hair that wasn't…

Pros
  • PVA 3D printer filament vacuumed and sealed with desiccant
Cons
  • disappears

Didn't even have to go along Being dissolved in water it separates from PLA so easily (stays solid during printing) that it is an ideal material for printing on substrates. Although I had to increase the temperature of the extruder to 190, let's hope it doesn't feel like others in the Extruder degrades EDIT: I've done a few more prints with this PVA and I have to say I'm even happier than before, it's firm enough to serve as a support but still peels off very easily after printing. And if the…
