This handy tool is great for troubleshooting and diagnosing vehicle problems at home. It also reads transmission and ABS codes, which many other scanners cannot. I'm not sure if it's a scanner or anything on my 2009 Silverado. But the ETC reset function doesn't work on my truck even after I bought the $50 GM upgrade. I will update my rating after support checks this. But otherwise all other functions work. Remaining oil, TPMs and brakes work. The live data is very helpful, helped me replace the 02 sensor before it caused major problems. Update: 8-10-22 there was a full software update, new features and now I've been able to take a break from inactivity.

First it took several hours to download all necessary initial software updates over WiFi. I have super fast internet and great connectivity so be aware if yours is different. After it was fully updated, I entered the data for my vehicle manually.
