Type of job for belts, hoses and pulleys

I purchased a timing chain tensioner bracket from K&L to work on my 2012 Honda CBR600RR. This instrument was too long to fit; When the knurled end was removed it did not go through the frame to fit the hole in the cam chain tensioner. I had to cut off about 1/4 inch to make it work. After the wave was cut it worked quite well. I had some trouble getting it back *from* which may have been user error.

half price, 100% working.

I was afraid to do a valve adjustment on my 2013 cb1100 because I didn't want to pay full price for the Honda version of this tool. Luckily I found this and it works. Be careful, I fell out the little threaded insert that keeps tension and holds the pickup washer to the stem, luckily I didn't lose it and was able to screw it back in using the same punch.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Lightly dented

Works with patience

Purchased to ease timing chain tension on a 2007 Goldwing with ABS. I was able to use a tool and remove the cam to replace the seal. It was real pain. The ABS module and radiator hoses are in direct conflict with the strain relief connector. I had to adjust the button on the tool so it could go into the port, but it worked. Much cheaper than a Honda tool. Without him, the completion of the work was not possible.

Half Price, All Functions

The Honda version of this tool costs twice as much. The micro pinion clutch in the K&L tool makes it easy to remove the timing chain tensioner, even on the GL1800A with radiator hoses and skid pump; Just loosen the set screw on the handle and lower it half an inch and you have all the clearance you need unless you have very fat fingers. I hope the guy in the review above didn't actually take the bike apart like he said.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
