Tried to install it yesterday and was shocked to find it lacked the depth (was over 1 inch too short) to fit a to accommodate tire one size larger than stock (BFG KO2s 34x10 .5R17 on stock rims; tire size turned out to be a fixed 32" diameter). Ironically, aftermarket KO2s fit my stock tire carrier well, but a tire carrier designed as 37" tires advertised cannot. This tire holder will allow you to fit a larger tire but it is not perfect. This carrier rattles and slides everywhere. I had to modify this bracket a bit (by threading the screw through both pieces of metal to keep the tire from slipping back and forth when braking and accelerating). High quality, perfect solution to my spare tire problem. I have 34" tires on Fuel Beast wheels. The wheels are offset and stick out an inch or two. The tire/wheel was two sizes too big for a standard tire mount and hit the bumper. I tried the Smity Built adjustment bracket which increases the tire height but also allows my spare to stick out 3 inches.
