Easy Installation, High Quality Appearance

Installation took less than 10 minutes. A 14mm diameter hole is recommended for installation; I used a 5/8" shovel on my hammer drill and it worked well. This peephole is made from very durable material and consists of only 2 parts that bolt together on either side of the door. Has an extra long thread to accommodate many to accommodate different door thicknesses. Fingers pinch together and fit snugly. Interior coating feels strong and I don't expect it to loosen over time depending on how it's

Do not do that! in peepholes

1. Requires a 5/8 reduced shank drill bit. They don't have it, triple the price. Don't have a cordless drill? Add $200 (You don't buy cheap tools!) 2. Accidentally unscrew the front lens during installation, all the glass pieces will fall off, boom and break. Buy another.3. Looks good.4. It's too long for your door. Washers, estuhon, made to order for $900 - pick your own. The small privacy door works great but won't stop a .223 caliber bullet. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.6. During the installation…

Looks Good - Door Hardware and Locks

This peephole looks good and the clarity is pretty good given its wide angle. I'm not sure if it's 220 degrees but it's wide enough. Some people have complained about the logo, but it's hard to spot. If you didn't know it was there, you probably wouldn't notice it. When installing, drill a small pilot hole in the door, then use progressively larger drill bits to enlarge the hole, working from both the front and back of the door, until you get the right size. This provides better opening and…

Excellent. If you use the right size drill bit.

Excellent quality and extremely easy to install. If you use the right drill. You will need a 5/8" bit. I installed two of these, one on a PVC door (I think) and the other on a metal door. Both doors were hollow insulated doors and both were about 1/8" on either side "" thick. I used a drill bit like the one below and it worked out fine, it took about 5 minutes for each door. It took about 1 minute to drill. . This is a wood drill bit so drilling wood shouldn't be a problem. The Peephole itself…

Looks very good. Enlarged inner lip.

This peephole looks very nice and looks quite sturdy. The viewing window cover inside is a nice touch. As others have said, a 5/8" drill bit is required to get the correct hole size. Most drill sets are not available in this size. Went to Home Depot and bought a Dewalt drill press which cost me almost $20 so here we go. it in mind. The main reason I bought this particular one is that the viewer's lip is slightly larger on the inside than the others and covers the opening better. I believe my…

WORKS AND LOOKS GREAT - WE LOVE IT

We use it indoors on our master bedroom door. For security reasons we keep our bedroom door locked at night. On several occasions an alarm sensor on one of our exterior doors has failed and set off an alarm. Since we didn't know if it was a false alarm, we couldn't tell if someone really broke in without unlocking and opening the door. With this peephole we can see what is happening in front of our bedroom without opening the door. With a wide viewing angle, we can see up and down the hallway…

Easy to install and good field of view

Even though I have a doorbell with a camera, there is a significant delay when someone rings the doorbell and when we can see who is at the door through the phone app. A peephole is a non-technical solution that allows you to see who is at the door before you open it. If you then don't know who it is, you can always speak into the camera through the doorbell to determine what the visitor is up to. The protective cover was my wife's stipulation to prevent anyone from looking in through the…
