Thule Outway Platform 2 Bike Black Review

Tried to fit two mountain bikes but found it very difficult. If you want to buy it for mountain bikes, buy the version for 3-way, not for 2-way. The package was damaged when it arrived but the general build quality was fine.

Assembly was easy and installation was a breeze. But once everything is attached to my car, the rear trunk of my car cannot be opened at all. and when the rear trunk of the car waded up, there was a loud noise and the trunk of my car seemed to come loose. In the end I sent the item back.

There were several different ribbons in the box, I explain that it was opened and closed with a new ribbon, it was beaten and discolored, with a hole split on one side the plastic part, as soon as the goods arrived, I sent a letter to the seller and his reply: contact the manufacturer, they solve any problem, I did not buy from the manufacturer (right) ! I have to pay a whopping $115 myself! I was unable to properly install this item on my car. Looks like the top left cable bracket is defective. It won't stretch far enough. While the outdoor playground was kind and extended my return window and accepted without the original packaging, paying $115 to have a defective item re-fitted is unreasonable for me. When purchasing an expensive item, I suggest that you call the seller and verbally discuss the return process prior to purchase.

I was looking for a bike rack to match the hatchback style of my Honda Civic. Couldn't find any other rear mount bike rack that would fit. With the help of Thule's fitting instructions, I decided on the Outway 2 bike rack. The bike rack fits snugly and is easy to attach and remove from the car's sunroof. Terrible instructions both in the written instructions that came with the bike rack and on the You Tube they recommended. Drawings and cool videos are no substitute for helpful instructions. It took me a rubber mallet and a lot of patience to attach the disassembled levers. There are locks on this bike rack for reasons they don't explain. You can lock adjustments you can make to the rack to fit your car after a 2 hour installation process, but I can't be sure as one of the locks stays locked…
