This is, I confess, my first rack, so there is nothing quite like it. However, the stand feels solid, is easy to set up, and works admirably. I bike and use it to carry about 20-30 pounds for 12 miles one way. Not exactly a heavy load, but enough to open a skinny shelf I think.
