I bought this scanner to convert my 5,000 or so 35mm photos and slides into digital images and although I was perfectly ready, a lot more I'm glad I didn't do this. . The reason for this is that every higher quality film scanner I've found is much, much slower - I could never scan 5,000 frames in more than a minute at a time.
