Easy to install Suitable for door hardware and locks

Used to replace an existing lock without a key. A screwdriver and less than 10 minutes was all it took to swap out the old lock and align the deadbolt properly. Good solid construction.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Inexpensive replacement for front door locks.

My 2 year old Larson's door lock cylinder was binding and wouldn't turn. Larson's replacement cost over $35, Wright's model cost me less than half that. In fact, this is the same entity.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Good but not great

Measure, then measure again

Great replacement for double screen doors. Be careful and measure the width of the door you are ordering hardware for. I have a thicker/heavier tambour door that doesn't fit, but they sell a latch that does. Rule of thumb: measure twice, then it won't work πŸ˜‚

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some cons

Messy mechanism for door hardware and locks

Packaging says Easy to install. It's almost impossible to keep the piston and linkage in place when installing the bolt. Plan on some tools and mechanical skills to do this. Best I can do is three stars as the plunger/lock is very sloppy and I doubt it offers much security.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Available in white only

Does not fit 1 " doors as advertised.

It turned out to be easy enough to install and appears to be quite strong. However this is false advertising, the supplied spindle will fit not. up to 1-1/4" doors. My screen door is 1" and the spindle was too short to even reach the interior lock. Will be returned.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Very expensive

Completely! - Hardware

Has the exact hole pattern of the replaced unit. For the less experienced installer with a soft hand, I would suggest adding variable size pipe wrenches to the internal mechanism. I have pliers so I only needed one plier to snap the correct tabs to the correct length, but I could see how difficult it was for others even if they had two pliers as the instructions dictate.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Protection

Work grid replacement door handle

I very carefully disassembled the old door knob, which saved me a lot of time trying to decipher obscure instructions. For people just looking to pull out the old and install the new, you'll see. The long screws for the handle turned out to be a bit short, so I copied the old ones. There was no spring for the release button in the box, and the manual doesn't describe it very clearly. I also used an old feather.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Security

Latch installation overview and suggestions.

This inexpensive door lock with key lock was easy to install on my screen door. If you bought a new screen door, you may need a drill and 1/8" bit to drill the hole or screw holes for installation. Mounting screws, metal screws, and wood screws used for installation require a Phillips or Phillips screwdriver. A marker or pen is also handy for marking where to drill the holes. Spacers are designed to provide the best fit between the latch and the latch retainer which is attached to the door jamb

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
