This filament is 40% smaller (600g vs. 1K) than traditional filament and about 40% more expensive. The sad thing is that the quality of this material is also inferior to other DRM-free threads. It is either spooled due to stress or poor quality as it keeps stopping at the end of each print while other brands of filament that have been stored longer work fine. The color looks good and that's the only good thing I can say about it. Overall definitely not worth the money for it.

Not for Jr model.

Please note this is NOT for Davinci, Jr. The reels are almost exactly the same, but they don't come with the white part inside the mounting hole that holds the chip. PLA etc. Obviously I'm not an expert on 3D printing and neither is my son. That's why we bought the Jr. model! Making threads easier to distinguish would save a lot of frustration. This box and reel looks…

I work about 50% and get chips that say

I have used the da Vinci All-In-One 3D Printer at both home and work. As for the printer, it does what I need. Regarding gas stations, I spend about 50% to read the chips. I like the chip idea because I'm not interested in becoming a 3D printing freak, I just want to upload a file and start printing. However, if the chip isn't visible to the printer (and if it is, it reads less filament than on the spool) then I might as well buy the printer elsewhere and print my work, even if I have to spend…
