I brought a lock for my apartment to Mexico

I took a lock for my apartment to Mexico. I opened the box there. Big mistake on my part. There were NO INSTRUCTIONS in the box. No installation guide, no programming guide. I watched a lot of You Tube and could understand the installation but not the programming. Too bad because it's a heavy device that feels good. I returned it without programming instructions and will return it.

Only for carpenters

Installation went well. However, it turned out that the lock motor is too small and cannot allow even the smallest displacement between the bolt and the follower. In most homes, the latch and nest are moved by rain and temperature. The tree moves - that is a fact. Couldn't successfully get the lock to work from day one. Look for a padlock with a keypad and deadbolt that has a manual rotation - such as B. Schlage. Your wrist has a lot more power than a weak motor at Yale. I've had this blockage…

  • Dope 🔥

  • The list is getting long.

The lock is good, no documentation

The lock is fine. Pretty easy to install. Programming instructions are a recipe for failure. The only remaining step is to add user codes. No mention of waiting times. What do all those beeps mean? When I do a factory reset, it tells me to remove the batteries to disassemble the lock, reinsert the batteries while holding the reset button, and then reattach the battery cover. There is no mention of pulling the batteries back out to reassemble the lock, putting the batteries back in, THEN putting

His . . . good good for hardware

i have had this lock for almost a year now and it is fine but not as good as one would hope. First, just spend the extra cash and get an upgraded linked lock. Without them, the thing is really pretty dumb. You enter numbers and it opens. Technology barely up to date. That's all. Also annoying is that if you linger in the door or put your hand near the panel while closing the door, the latch will pop open and knock the damn door frame out as the door closes. My frame is permanently dented…

Yale Assure Lock Brushed Nickel Touchscreen Keyboard (YRD226NR619). Bought late March 2018 and DOA late April 2019. The keyboard (or something with the circuit board) died 1 month after the warranty expired. No signs of death just DOA when he got home. Battery low blinks, keyboard flickers. The batteries were two months old. Changed batteries 3 times, reset to factory settings 3 times. Still keyboard issues, kept talking about low battery and flickering bar. Luckily it's a keyed model so I was…
