Not a bad product, nothing extraordinary.

Actually, a good gadget. But there is almost no charm of the timeless and stylish lighter from Zippo. Despite the mirrored steel of the case, you can't help but feel that you are using some fancy lighter from China. However, that's the way it is. The inscription China is embossed on the case.

Pros
  • A beautiful thing. Superbly done. Included in the standard body of a Zippo lighter. Does not go out in the wind from the word at all. You can light up even with a squally wind. Charging hour. Does not require any consumables.
Cons
  • Basically there are three claims. 1) Not quite familiar and convenient to light up. You have to rest a cigarette directly into an electric arc. Driving is, oh, how uncomfortable and even dangerous. 2) Small autonomy. One charge is enough for one and a half packs of cigarettes, at most. With my volume of smoking, I need to charge daily. The manufacturer promises 300 charge-discharge cycles. This means that in a year the insert will die if you use only it alone. 3) Micro USB. Why not Type C? Nowadays, such a connector is exotic. A neat cable is included, but I'm sure I'll lose it if I carry it with me.

Ark works. not like it says in the manual.

Bought all three Zippo liners that were released Fall 2019: single and dual butane liners and arc liners. Butanes work great, although as others have said, the lack of a content panel makes me a little nervous. How much fuel do I have left? Is that enough for my long weekend trip? I don't know because they didn't have a fuel window like other butane lighters. Otherwise they are great. My problem is with the arc insert. The instructions say to charge it fully and then press and hold the button…

Small fix and it's great. Excellent Quality

The finish of the body of this insert is too large for installation, making it difficult to remove the insert for loading. Out of curiosity and the need to solve the problem. I disassembled the device and provided photos of the polyfilm lithium battery. There isn't much room for a larger battery as the switching power supply feeds the step-up transformer to create the arc rays. If necessary, it can be replaced in the future, if you have the necessary skills. The outer case has been sanded where

Great for beefing up the old Zippo

This review includes both the arc lighter socket and the dual butane lighter socket. I bought both. Bow insert - perfect fit, very well made. Easy to charge. Takes a long time. I got it for an emergency lighter for hiking, snowmobiling, etc. To be clear, you can't light a cigar with this arc lighter, period. Doesn't work, don't try. I am a cigar smoker and have tried, no. Probably cigarettes. Get a butane zippo insert for cigars, works great. Double butane insert - perfect fit, very well made…

  • , handy item
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

I bought this when it first came out (yes I've waited a bit since buying before starting the review) and was glad I got my regular Zippo case and my arc lighter. Shortly after getting and using this I had a problem with the paste. I called and spoke to a wonderful woman who after a short discussion got me to return the insert and then sent me a new replacement. I can't tell you how nice it is to work with Zippo when you complain that they stand behind all of their products! Zippo Customer…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Pretty cool. I always keep a lighter in my emergency kit along with a knife and a first aid kit. The problem with transporting a Zippo with fuel is that the fuel will evaporate after a week or 10 days. I'm not sure how safe it is, but it's strange to me that the fuel evaporates so quickly. So when I saw an opportunity to upgrade the detonator I decided to give it a try. There isn't much delay in firing, except that I noticed that you have to press the button twice to activate the device. I…

Solid insert for USB lighter

I have just received this replacement USB lighter which came in an original Zippo box with a charging cable hidden behind the lighter. It's almost exactly the same size and appears to be a very well made heavy duty insert that fits very nicely in my Zippo lighter case (sold separately). Once inserted into my separate case, it feels really good. As far as I can tell this is as advertised and meets Zippo's strict standards, however battery life is yet to be determined in the future. The only…

Great, but be careful (read more)

Update: It looks like I received a device that has been out of production for a few years. The lipo (lithium ion battery) is very low capacity and the lighter might last a day with regular use (as a lighter, not just fiddling with it etc.). This is done with small lipocells; They are produced in very large numbers and then await a delivery or assembly order (alternatively, they could be contracted before construction). In any situation, a large production line can cause problems with sensitive…
