Works but doesn't hold up when the ride is generally bumpy.

Jumps off where they often get stuck in our trailer, whether the road is bumpy or not. Not suitable for bumpy drives unless you can find a better way to mount them than magnets. They work. They are very easy to use. They just don't like getting stuck when the ride is rougher than a typical city road.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Perfect solution Best of exterior accessories

Works like a dream. I've always had trouble with boat trailer lights, never properly closed, one worked the other didn't, this was the perfect solution. When I get my boat back in the water I turn off the lights, take them off as they are magnetic and put them in the trunk until the trailer is out of the water. since then not a single problem! This is the only way and it's super strong magnetic effect and high quality material.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Stuck like trailer accessory glue

Used this to tow my daughter's car from Michigan to Grand Junction Colorado on a dolly. Through the plains, the mountains, the harsh weather, and the bright sun, they did not stir. I washed the car with alcohol before putting them in and put the extra cord in the trunk (put the lamps, opened the trunk, put the cords in the opening between the glass and the trunk, closed the trunk), so if it someone would do escape, he wouldn't jump onto the freeway.

Barely visible in daylight

I put these on the rear window of my Ford Focus sedan to be semi permanent and weather proof. Velcro was used to attach the base of each light to the rear seat headrests. My only criticism of these lights is that they are barely visible in normal daylight. I've replaced the bulbs with super bright LED bulbs (which also use less power through the towline) and they are bright enough now during the day. Overall happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Fits me great

Gatzies is not a Peterson dealer and cannot guarantee the

. I also wanted to look into an American product, neither one nor the other worked. If I get a chance I'll post pics of Harbor Freight lights holding the same weight. The product was also defective and had wiring issues (unusable) and the one year warranty the seller shows is only good if you buy the lights from an authorized dealer (Gatzies is NOT). I've phoned Peterson and they won't help either, saying all warranties are covered by their lighting stores. I have informed Peterson of the…

Holding magnets - trailer accessories

This is my second pair. I forgot to take off the first one before diving into the salt water. They keep working, but they need a backup pair. I've used others in the past and they fell off the trailer. While they're gone, I tow my little sailboats back and forth across the state. I was concerned because the photos in the insert showed that the lights had round magnets. The previous pair had rectangular magnets that make more contact with the crossbars on my trailer frames. I was pleasantly…

Good reliable lighting handle

I installed them on the back of a camper van last weekend. The magnets were good and strong. They didn't move on the 200 mile journey, including some bumpy roads. I planned to put zip ties on them to make sure they wouldn't fall off. After installing them, I decided I didn't need them. The magnets were good and strong. I also like that they use a standard 1157 bulb. If the light goes out I can fix it for a buck. I looked at such LED lights and decided on this one. Contrary to popular belief…
