Just began investing in Ether a month and a half ago on the recommendation of Teeka Tiwari, I’m ahead about seventy per cent, not bad for a newby, the future looks brilliant. When Bitcoin was launched, eleven years ago? I was beginning to wet my toes into stock trading, the difficult process to buy the newly concepted form of money, coupled with the ridiculously low price, caused derision and contempt in many an analyst, I watched reviews from a distance, thinking I would never touch such a strange new technology specially after learning about the hacking and risks involved in trusting a password to access the funds. For an older man nearing retirement, having grown before computers became available to the general public and not technology trained, I was naturally skeptical of any new innovative contraption that came along, let alone virtual anything, and then..... the price of Bitcoin begun to rise, and rise, and rise. It was in twenty sixteen I believe, that I went to the trouble of opening an account with Coinbase, for me it was a headache, what with submitting my picture and pictures of my ID’s, double authentication and what not. Anyway I deposited a modest amount of money and watched it grow, and then, I read about the tax complications involved and how some investors were hounded by the IRS for not paying and how new forms were to be submitted and Al Capone came to mind, and I thought, I don’t need this. I withdrew all my money but kept the account open, forward to the present. I’m retired, have plenty of time to invest my meager funds in the stock market, read extensively and follow several analysts, and lastly but not leastly; it has become much easier to buy, sell, and open and close accounts, and it has been explained to me how to report and pay my taxes properly. So, I bought Ether and some lesser altcoins. It’s a new ballgame, I’m enjoying my ride with Crypto.
