It took less than 5 minutes to install. Even if you've never repaired a car in your life, you can fit it in pretty quickly. Very durable handle. The color is as it should be. Worth its price. Simply unscrew the back of the tailgate and pull out the old one, remove the lock from the old one by removing the silver ring around the back of the lock, slide it into the new one, slide the handle back in and you're done .

As my name suggests, perfect fit for a long body 2006 single cab Tundra (6 speed manual). The OEM handle broke on my fingertips just after trying to open the tailgate. They replaced it perfectly and also allowed me to use the original locking mechanism which allows me to use my regular key. Absolutely no complaints or questions. Installation 15-20 minutes if you have experience with mechanics and tools. I'm not a mechanic but I know the basic tools and did the installation with ease.

This item says it was made to OEM specifications and appears to be. Fits like a glove, but note when installing there are two small flanges on the underside that literally 'snap' when properly aligned. If the screw holes do not line up, it is not installed correctly.
