Not as sharp as I expected. My old Cuisinart 7 inch Santoku style knife does the same job when sharpening. I thought I would upgrade with the Paudin brand but this is very disappointing.

I'm tired of using cheap knives that dull quickly and don't look good after a few uses. This knife was one of two I have ordered from this company and both are amazing. Super sharp, looks great and feels great in the hand. Don't buy cheap knives!

This is an incredibly well made knife with great balance, great steel, at a really reasonable price. It's quite sharp and cuts through difficult foods like fatty meat very easily. The patterns on the knife are beautiful and it is as pleasant to hold as it is to look at. I am very happy with the purchase and will buy more for my friends as Christmas gifts, highly recommended.

Many knives claim to be super sharp, but this one really lives up to its name. I've used it to slice tomatoes into hamburgers (the best food for knife testing in my opinion, and people use tomatoes to test knife sharpeners, believe it or not), it's incredibly simple. Well I can't comment on the durability of this knife yet but I can definitely say it is very sharp and well made. Fits well in the hand and looks chic. If I had something to complain about, it would be like this. I have a feeling the damascus pattern is engraved (not like my real damascus blades) and may not be real. In general I'm satisfied. Looks very good. Feels pretty good in my hand. Beautiful damask pattern on the blade. You're not an expensive knife, it really isn't that cheap for what it is.
