I pulled the defective alternator on Friday evening. Got it on site Saturday morning. I didn't like the local price. Ordered online on Saturday morning and received on Sunday at 9:00 am. installed at noon. Ideal for replacing an old 130 amp alternator that is already obsolete. Terrific!

I have been using this alternator on a 5.3 liter 05 truck for 10 months now. The fact that it has lasted so long is shocking. My system is ALWAYS working at full capacity. (1200rms for bass) Of course the voltage drops a bit, but it holds up well. Didn't have to change belts or anything, bolted installation.

I bought and installed this generator. Worked less than a month, only 4 disks, started charging to 19V. After 20 seconds idle, it was too hot and my battery was hissing and spewing acid from the high voltage. Revain doesn't have a return option, it's through DB Electrical and they said they basically get F'ed. So no guarantee. Buy alternators, starters, etc. in the aftermarket. Disappointed with this product. I bought this generator after reading the rave reviews and the price was great. I received the generator in good condition and proceeded with the installation. It's ok, the generator is installed correctly. The problem I had was that when I had to reattach the snake strap, it just didn't fit. With all the torque I applied to the tensioner, the belt did not match the alternator. After trying for about an hour I gave up and realized it didn't fit. I had to take it…

Looks good and we will. The only issue stopping me from fitting it is that it's slightly larger than my original and my serpentine belt doesn't fit. Now I have to go and take a bigger size.
