🚪 Enhanced Defender Security E 2499 Door Knob Set: Spindle & Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish Review

Purchased to replace the grips on the Defender insert set with glass grips. The epoxy didn't hold and the glass handles ripped off on both sides one day. I wanted to replace the handles with something that wouldn't fall apart over time like glass. They fit well and look original. It's nice that they are also perfectly color-coordinated. I will buy more if the other glass pens I have don't work.

Not that I like it, it's just what I ordered, what I wanted, nothing more nothing less. Good quality, set screw threaded knobs, adjust by turning the knobs around the spindle, then fix the rotation by tightening the set screw. Includes handles, spindle and screws. Can't say anything bad about the products, they do what they're supposed to do, they look and feel very high quality, I would (probably) buy them again.

Works in a traditional old fashioned set of mortise locks. As a homeowner in Albany, I have a few of these. For the most part, they work and are inexpensive. It is an inexpensive finish and ages and wears out quickly, although this finish appears to be of a higher quality than plain brass and ages more gracefully than plain brass with wear. If the set screw loosens, use the blue Locktite screw lock. If you just keep tightening it, you'll rip it off. I use Loctite Blue on almost every install…

I have older doors and have had to replace handles on many doors over the years. Most of the pens I've bought from different vendors are not of very good quality. The screws are not of good quality. The door handle doesn't hold. However, this door handle looks like a rock star among door handles. The pen itself is solid and the overall quality of the product is one of the best I've seen in years. But I wanted you to know. these pens suck! They don't turn around and stay where they are supposed to. I tried wd-40, worked on it twice for an hour to get it to loosen and flip. It will not. I had one of these that I got from Walmart before, it worked for a while then the handle fell off and it's impossible to fix. So I thought I'd try the Amazon seller. About the same price, about the same product. These grips are not the easiest to install or lubricate. They just don't want to work. Right…
