Excellent fit and fixed the common GM/Chevy heater hose connector leak

This item is a nearly perfect direct replacement for the old style hose connector. There are some minor differences from the OEM, but it fits and does the job. Aside from the fact that the old one was a beast to take off (you ended up having to break the tabs to take it off) it was an easy fix. With a lot of pressure it snapped into place (tight fit) and I've been very happy with this part for about 3 months. No leakage.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Fits 2011 Yukon XL Denali

Good replacement for the leaky original on my 2011 Yukon XL Denali with 6.0 engine. I could smell coolant at the bus stops and upon closer inspection I found a small drip on this fitting. No tools are required for removal, simply touch the tabs with your fingers and remove. The heating line coming from the pump has its own holder, which you must detach from the old coupling and attach to the new one. I lubricated the new o-rings and then put them back in place, not a drip!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Nothing

Go OEM. It's a cheap solution and might break

I didn't take a picture but the quality is poor compared to the OEM. One of my heater hoses from my 2007 Tahoe snapped at the corrugated hose at the tee. Decided to replace all components. The plastic clasps are of poor quality and will likely break soon. When I was testing a new hose, the plastic o-ring retainer inside the fitting with the o-rings came out when I took the fitting off. Everything worked in the end, but if I had known the quality I would have spent the money. for OEMs

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I'll add later

Leaking through the o-ring in the port

I was trying to replace native tees with new Dormans on my 2004 GMC Yukon XL 5.3L. Whole original fittings leaked from time to time, it wasn't that critical, but I decided to fix the leak altogether. Visually, the Dorman connector looks just like the original, all dimensions and terminals look exactly the same. After installing the Dorman fitting and starting the engine, I found that coal was quickly dripping out of just the aluminum tube and tee. I bought 2 pieces just in case (1 for backup)…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Modernity

Terrible quality, leaking after 500 miles

Don't buy these Dorman parts, buy OEM. I bought this Dorman part to replace a leaking 2007 Chevy Suburban 5.3 because it was half the price of the part at the Chevy dealer. The part looked fine during installation, but after only 500 miles it started leaking and I saw steam coming out of the connector. Very disappointing. Looking at other reviews it seems that some people like this part but others, like me, face failure. Clearly a quality control issue. If you have plenty of time to try…

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Something different
