I was cleaning the throttle body on my 2008 Chevy 5.3 LC9 engine and my idle was high due to the carbon removed. I wanted a tool that can reset the TPS (throttle position sensor). I was able to reset it within 10 minutes after plugging in the instrument and simply navigating through the screens. I need it to bleed my brakes. It has TPMS and many other management features not found in a regular scan tool. You can dive into each vehicle module and check for DTCs. I have an LTZ Chevy so you can…

Disappointing but it works

3 hours. That's how long it took to figure out how to install software that was supposed to come preinstalled but wasn't preinstalled. The product arrived as nothing more than a basic OBD reader as nothing was installed. None of the websites in the accompanying documentation were valid and it turned out that there are two completely different Foxwell websites and two completely different software updaters depending on the model. The NT510 pro uses Foxwell.com, but the Elite needs to be…

Very bad first impression

The home page of the site offers (for reasons entirely unclear) two options: a .com page and a .us page. The .us site is down - after a long delay it just goes back to the home page (infinite loop). So I went to .com, registered there and got an email back. So far so good, except that none of the software tools mentioned in the FAQ or in the accompanying literature are available. I tried to register my new scanner but keep getting the error "Serial number does not exist". Second infinite loop…

Great alternative to spending big bucks at the GM dealership

Used this tool on a 2014 Chevy Spark. The StabiliTrak light came on with the brake pedal position sensor code. The part is only $20, but you can't just put a new sensor in it. The replacement sensor needs to be calibrated for the vehicle or the light will stay on and the system will not function. This tool allowed me to view all faults in the car, clear them and examine the new brake pedal position sensor. The only complaint is that the menus are a bit confusing and it took me a while to figure

Works great once set up correctly

Was ordered to help me troubleshoot my airbag problem, after reading and learning how to work with this particular piece of equipment that needed a bit of fine tuning he replied with sufficient Information that helped me fix my problem and came in handy for a few other things. Definitely able to work with ABS and SRS systems. Works on my 2008 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Double Cab. Again, it needed a bit of tweaking and reading, but now it's set up for it, works great. This device has many features…

Custom Support Stinks

I couldn't get this pathetic piece of brick to work. It was one question after another.1. Device could not be registered. It took a few weeks for the support team to respond and give me another link to register my device. Finally I registered it online and tried to use the website to download software updates. desktop application. No data or instructions to tell me it's for Windows, I tried downloading it on MAC. So I switched to a Windows device and downloaded the app. If you download the app,

It did what I needed and paid for itself in one use

The Foxwell NT510 Elite worked as advertised. This allowed me to fix my BMW's electronic parking brake, reset the fault code and activate the brake from the keypad. The dealership charged $2,300 to replace the entire electronic parking brake module and "program it into the car." That's code for "plugging it in" and charging a fortune while I was able to fix the module for just $23 plus the cost of a Foxwell NT510 Elite. The unit was advertised as advertised and came preloaded with the…

Paid half my price Day 1

Bought a car with only 1 key. I wanted to have a key fob for easy access. I bought some keychains from Amazon but no instructions or YouTube videos I watched helped me program them. It costs at least $50 to hire a locksmith to program it. The car also had a tire warning from TPMS. My inexpensive scanner couldn't see it, nor could the free Autozone or Orielly scan they offer. If I had to take it to a store for diagnosis, it would probably cost another $60. I received my scanner the next day but…

Very limited features

I liked it at first but the tool and software leave a lot to be desired. i will return it It crashed for me a couple of times while working with the data stream. There are no batteries in the device. If you want to turn off and view the data on the device, you can't. You can save the data if you recorded live data, but you need to read it in the tool if you want to see the chart. The PC application does not display the chart and you cannot print the data. Support said to print the data but…
