On the plus side, this was definitely the easiest keypad remote I've ever programmed, and it's nice that it works with three doors. You can technically add a second temporary code, but it will be deleted once the main code is used again. 2) The up/down button is not very intuitive when sharing code with friends or courier via txt. My Genie garage door opener is 13 years old and by default this new keypad is quickly programmed to both openers. I really like that the user can program a 3 to 8 digit PIN instead of the usual 4. So why only 4 stars? The backlit keyboard only illuminates the numbers 2, 5, and 8. I have two of these at home and they are very useful. Apart from that this is my third pair as others usually stopped working after about 8 years in a sheltered but open space. Our opener is an Intellicode 2 model, so we just had to follow a few simple instructions right on the cover to plug it in. It was very simple and only took a minute to complete the pairing. We encountered the problem of a mortar wall when mounting the device to the wall, and the keyboard came with screws without anchors. We had to buy a whole set of the same flat head screws with anchors to install this. Unless you're screwing it directly to metal or wood, you'll likely need dowels. I wish they
