This is what you need to get

This is what you need, it's worth it even if you have a little play in the clutch. I have a motorcycle rack on the back of my RV with a Class IV 2" hitch. The bike weighs 300 pounds and the rack probably weighs another 80 pounds. This device eliminates all vibrations. The only downside is that you have to remove this device. before you can unhook anything connected to the hitch, which doesn't matter in my case. I used some Loctite on the threads just in case, although it comes with flat washers

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • There are downsides

Sturdy and works as advertised

I can't hear a rattle on my car, this guy fixed it straight away. I glued rubber strips where it meets the hitch and receiver to prevent scratches and rust. I find screwing it in and out a little tedious, especially if you're swapping out regularly. So keep that in mind. It only lasts a few minutes, but it still sucks. I wish they made a similar product with a latch like a release cable tie? If you like me and don't want to hear the rumble, I highly recommend this product.

I expected better from tow and winch products

There are several versions available but I decided to spend a few bucks more since this one is made in the USA. When I first installed it I was hoping it would stop the gurgle of the towhead I was using. The bottom line is that the product doesn't work because it doesn't stay tight. I don't know if the threaded surface of the U-bolt or something else is stretched a bit, but the nuts continue to loosen even with the flat washers and lock washers in place. On my first ride on this thing, which…

because what I got had a perfect finish and very high quality parts

Worked great. Installed in two minutes. My hitch receiver rattled very loudly when my trailer was empty. Unfortunately, the gap between the receiver and the clutch wasn't large enough to incorporate anything to stop play. This product solved the problem immediately. I was a little concerned that it might not fit my new Jeep Renegade because the receiver is built into the rear bumper. However, I had no problems. One thing I added was a piece of sticky rubber (felt would work too) on the spot…

Three years and getting stronger

I put it on in early spring and take it off in late autumn. Has been working for the third year, no problems. I use it on an ATV tractor, trailer and car can weigh up to 2400 pounds depending on the load. This tensioner stops all the chatter and play - it's so much more comfortable to ride without anything happening back there. I make sure to tighten the clutch mount in such a way that there is no play when the clamp is clamped, which would occur when changing the mount. Position at first load.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

and it just bent like a stick of toffee

This tensioner was purchased for use with a steel scooter ramp and four wheel scooter. Both the ramp and scooter weighed just under 300 pounds, and the hitch we have is rated at 600 pounds. Our ramp bounces quite a bit when towing, so we hoped this would solve our problems. It didn't last a week. We followed the instructions as directed and even used threadlock on the screws to be sure. Nothing worked and our ramp started to sag a lot over time. We also found that the screws were loose. I don't

Happy with the product and great customer support!

Great product - virtually no rattling. It's a pity that I didn't find this clutch tensioner years ago! UPDATE #1: I installed three of these on my hitch while riding cross country. After the 3rd stop, where I always make sure that everything is tight and secure, I found that both nuts on one of these brackets were stripped. After reading other reviews I was VERY careful not to overtighten when installing. I had a dual clutch bike receiver (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P6CJ9O/ref=oh_au…

Soft metal shackle, broken thread.

In less than a year, the U-bolt threads broke simply by repeated tightening and loosening. The nut almost stuck onto the threads before tightening to the base plate, but I was surprised there was no corrosion. Upon inspection, the threads were deformed and deformed and broken under the nut in the part that is not stressed during tightening or exposed when tightening the nut. twisted down. The nut was of standard quality and had no damage. And honestly I was trying to make sure it wasn't…
