We really liked this lock. It was easy to install and worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now after about 3 months of ownership it is a terrible failure. Again and again we have to enter the code because the outer handle just dangles. After four or five tries he will finally catch. We took the keys back with us in case we are locked out. Update: A year later and it's a complete failure. We can try 15-20 times and it won't work. We'll have to replace it. A complete waste of money.

Worked great for a year. Super easy to install and program. Design flaw: The tab on the inside of the plug needs to have a protective cover to keep the wire from pinching. This was not apparent during installation. I connected the cable according to the instructions. Upon examination, it is evident that there is plenty of space and the wires appear to be free. Install this lock today and it's super easy. I chose it for its heavy components (just use a competitor's lock and note the difference in weight and components). You should understand what you are getting when you buy this lock and if you match your expectations you will not be disappointed. This is an ANSI Class 2 lock with some known disadvantages. It doesn't have a hardened or reinforced bolt or, as far as I remember, a cone with a reinforced firing pin.
