Battery indicator will drain the battery in 24 hours

I am very happy with the lumens this headlamp produces. The system he uses to mount it is pretty cool too. The biggest issue and the most annoying thing I found wrong is that the battery indicator drains the entire battery in 24 hours if left plugged in. It annoys me beyond belief that every time I stop typing I have to disconnect the headlight from the battery to try and give the daily driver the best possible battery life. This is a terrible design flaw. If the indicator would only light up…

  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good, bright light for little money.

Smaller than expected, this light has amazing brightness. However, you do not have the option of using one or both LEDs. Both LEDs always light up with three brightness levels. You'll also see three green LRDS on the back once the battery is connected. They do not change depending on the selected brightness level. All three are always on. Because it's so small, you can attach it to the steering wheel without it getting in the way. Because the battery is small enough, you can also tie the…

Excellent lamp, no defects so far

So far so good. I took this for late night skiing. I had some doubts that this would be what I was looking for, but for the price I agreed. I had to make a special small mount to screw to my helmet. Tripod mount options are fairly limited (it's a bike light, after all). But this thing has its own characteristics. Most of the time I ski under a full moon when good light isn't really needed, but there was some cloud on a recent hike and this light did the trick. I didn't test durability, but…

5000 lumens, but oh well!

$20 5000 lumens too good to be true? Spirit. The feeling I got when I excitedly pulled out my new toy and compared it to my 2,600 lumen standalone flashlight that comes with real mounts is only surpassed by the feeling you get when you discover that Sea monkeys don't look like advertisements or x-rays. Glasses don't work. Shame on me for thinking I could get 5000 lumens for $20. This light is bright, yes, of course. Is it even 900 lumens? No way. Maybe worth $20? Am I going to risk my life…

Poor battery wiring

Last summer I bought a 1200 lumen bike light from Brighteyes that uses CREE LED lights. The Brighteyes light is bright but I needed more light so I searched Revain and found these 5000 lumen bulbs. Well I figured this dual LED light should be a lot brighter than my single 1200 lumen LED. NOT RIGHT. SIGA is about 1/2 times brighter than my Brighteyes. In fact, my Brighteyes are still brighter and whiter at low levels than SIGA at high levels. RioRand will be my next light. It uses the same CREE…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation

  • Exorbitant price

Not quite the advertised specs - don't expect extreme brightness or runtime

Ok - took this to check the 'current' condition of cheap flashlights - went with Solarstorm platform as there is so much information there. Good - it works, it's lightweight, and it'll work pretty well once it's ready to go. Fur: Emitters are not CREE XM-L as the title says. There seem to be "Latticbright" emitters appearing instead of CREE parts. Practically without information about the manufacturer, one cannot draw many conclusions from the output. Even Cree units put out a maximum light…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Don't really like it, it's ok

DOA Sports Charger

UPDATE 3 December 1, 2014 The replacement charger arrived on November 29 and works perfectly. For money, expect the occasional dip. However, the seller stands by their product, so you should feel confident when making a purchase. 11/20/2014 UPDATE 2: The seller has already received a reply and is only sending a replacement charger and I don't have to return the whole package. I expect to receive the new charger before the estimated delivery date of the original batch, so overall I'm very…
