Works very well for brake controls

I installed this on a 2013 Tundra. I ended up leaving it to the left of the driver's seat so I didn't have to run wires. It was easy to find an existing plug as I have a tow kit and plug it in. I just stuck the wires into the footboard. Also note the grounding bolt which is easily accessible. Just lift the kick plate up a bit and the screw is right there. Drilling is not required. I don't know what they used in the installation video but I found the steel strong and it was very difficult to…

Worth every penny and brake savers!

We used this brake controller on a Toyota Tundra to haul a 20 foot enclosed trailer from downtown Colorado to Austin, Texas. He had to work for the passage of two mountain passes in one direction and city traffic. The trailer was loaded with dirty bikes and gear and was very heavy. It was a solid load for my tundra to haul such miles over this terrain/roads. I even had to use it on snowy mountain roads and it was excellent. The brake control worked great. It was very easy and clean to assemble.

Works well, I would buy again

Very easy to use, works very well. It knows when the trailer brake wire is disconnected, which helped me track down a bad connection in my truck's wiring harness. It's small and not particularly noticeable. I wish the screen could be programmed to turn off completely. Or a power button wouldn't hurt. A little annoying at night when nothing is being towed, but I can dim the screen to a reasonable level. I also wish it had an ambient light sensor to automatically adjust the screen brightness. The

Fast and easy. Looks great

Here are some pictures of my 2012 Tundra setup. Quick and easy. Looks good. A little close to the parking brake. But I can achieve it. My only criticism was that nowhere in the instructions did it explain what the white wire was for or where it was supposed to be installed. I assumed it was for Earth, and I was right. I also found a video showing the installer installing it using one of the sheet metal screws provided and mounting it on a flat piece of metal just above the seat belt attachment…

Great product good for brake control

Bought this product because of the digital screen and also because it can be fitted directly into my dash with a separate trim purchase. Installation was easy. I tried a "regular" brake controller with no features and found it wasn't for me. I just took the old one off and put it in with an extra pad so I didn't have to drill holes in my records. I was a bit worried at first because it wouldn't turn off when the car was off and the key removed. But a quick google search and found that it shuts…
