Great fit, nice after-market update

Despite Tesla's recommendation to change the filters after 2 years, mine got a little crappy. I think I should have thought about living in Los Angeles. They fit perfectly and included a nice little surprise - a tool for removing the body sheet metal screws and a wrench for the awkwardly placed screw holding the filter flap (seriously, someone needs to speak to that engineer). ). Before installing I added some Kool-It and an air intake filter to hopefully keep the LA smog out of those hard to…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Pretty good

Installation is not easy, especially not the first time.

I landed upside down with my legs up and my head on the floor to remove this screw. I had to watch three different videos from Tesla owners' channels to understand how to disassemble and then reassemble everything. Not for the faint of heart. It's not the filter manufacturer's fault, although relying on other people's videos for instructions doesn't seem right. It took me a good couple of hours as I had absolutely no idea what to look for and didn't want to go wrong. The filters fit perfectly…

Filters much higher quality than OEM

My Model 3 Tesla is 4 years old so I changed the filters for the second time based on Tesla's recommendation to change every 2 years. I used the OEM filters last time and when I pulled them out this year they were very dirty and it was definitely time for new ones so I'm pretty sure bad air got into the cabin. These new XTechnor filters are much better quality than OEM filters and come with a good pry bar and screw mount. I didn't notice any difference in the airflow in the car and the air in…

Fairly easy installation and a fraction of the cost of similar filters.

It seems that the Tesla Model 3 has a design flaw and the location of the evaporator, the distance between the filters, due to which the system smells like moldy socks stuck in the air conditioner. After reading how some people fixed the smell and what they did to keep it from coming back, I found the XTechnor HEPA filters. I've read that some people have claimed that installing activated carbon HEPA filters caused the air conditioner load to be canceled or reduced airflow performance, so I was

  • Absolutely amazing!

Insufficient filter - Poor build quality

Decided to change the filter for the first time in a year and a half because. The air smelled strongly as the air conditioning started blowing. This filter seems to have gotten rid of the smell, although it does have its own odd smell (noticeable only on startup), like new plastic. This is definitely an improvement and hopefully the smell will disappear from the filter soon. Although the filter seems to work, I felt I should mention the quality. Due to the stupid way Tesla placed the air…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions

  • Has been damaged

Worth it, highly recommend (don't use a small external filter with it)

Installed on my 2020 Tesla Model 3 which currently has 9,000 miles on it. We have a lot of logs and my car goes through the car wash so I often change the cabin air filters as they age faster. Installation is very easy, but NOT easy, but we don't consider the ridiculous location and design of the model 3rd cabin air filter. I installed it after cleaning my vaporizer with Kool - definitely worth it. Cabin filter was disgusting even after 9000 miles. The Tesla OEM filter is definitely of good…

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Fragile

Does the car smell musty? Try it. It's not bad but takes patience

I really liked that this product came with instructions, although I watched a few YouTube videos before even ordering this product. I didn't realize it came with a torx screwdriver. This L-shaped tool is very handy. All the videos from others complain about how difficult the process is without them and this product contains them. Also, this little orange tool is very handy. I am a woman and my nails are not very long, I like to keep them neat. With this orange tool, you don't have to worry…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Easy to repair
