Wow, they really work!

For almost 30 years I have been capping caulking hoses with a bolt using a huge dollop of caulk to cover the outside of the hose. It was generally effective, although not 100%. I bought four of these to try and they have been 100% effective so far. I have used them on clear silicone, white silicone, liquid nails, concrete caulking, bath caulking and roof caulking and have removed and resealed multiple times. Cleaning for reuse on another hose is easy and they remain flexible at low…

WORKS BETTER THAN OTHERS

I've been using these caps for about 4 years to seal bathtubs, spouts, shower heads, sinks etc. Caps work well - better than most but you have to be careful putting Vaseline on the stem , otherwise the sealant will stick to the stem if you leave it on for more than a few days. If you put petroleum jelly on the rod, it will come out of the seal container easily. I also clean the wand with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover every time I use it so it doesn't leave a mark after use. the lid…

Handy pipe plugs

Beautiful little pipe plugs that keep used pipes from clogging. They have a plastic rod that fits into the tube's neck, with a sponge-yellow cap that completely seals the tip from air and debris. This will help the partially used tubing form a larger plug so it can be reused later. Now install them in a few to keep my purchase. They seem to help, you can still get a small plug that's easier to work with than without, which installs immediately after use. It also doesn't get stuck, so cleaning…

Suitable for latex, but not for silicone.

LATEX: This product fitted a tube with a regular Alex Plus latex seal after two days, pulled out easily without tools and the seal still flowed freely. A: I tried sticking one of these caps in 100% silicone sealant after 1 week and it may have even sealed too well. I struggled to get the cap off without breaking it, eventually the yellow rubberized cap slipped out of the plastic hole so I had to snap it with pliers to get it off the tube. This is time consuming and I'm not sure I can reuse this

Not what I was hoping for - adhesive sealant

Ever since I was a kid it seems every 'manufacturer' magazine I've read has had caulking advice in almost every issue pressure pipes. I have seen and tried many of them. This device was worth trying and unfortunately it failed. I opened up a silicone tube for a project and used one of these caps to seal the end. It fit perfectly and appeared to be a good seal. Just two days later I removed the cap and the silicone inside the grommet set, and about an inch or so inside the tube set. Getting some

I rarely give 5 star reviews - they have always worked great for me.

First, I rarely give 5 stars. I have tried several sealants in my time. hard plastic type in local big stores; a small red rubber condom and several others including a nail insert. These yellow flexible caps have NEVER let me down. I even used sealant that was over 1-1/2 years old with this cap, and although the first 3 inches of the jet that came out of the 1-1/2 year old sealant was a bit runny. (unmixed), the rest came out fine, no discolouration, rust etc. They also worked well on tubes of…

NO MORE WASTE! for sealant

Wow! I'm so glad I found her at Revain. I had an old sealant with similar caps that worked fine so I knew they existed. I've searched for covers in several places to no avail. Even HD didn't have that. The two staff I spoke to didn't even know what I was asking about. I'm in an old house and I've been busy sealing all sorts of things. Nice; Sealant for gutters, cracks in concrete, wooden surfaces and plaster. Before buying, I did the nail and tape trick with a small plaster crack repair. We had

Read before you buy.

I have used these plugs for about a year. Judge for yourself whether it can be used. In the summer of 2019 I opened 300ml tubes of silicone - one tube of black GE Silicone Two and clear GE Silicone One (smells like vinegar). I cut the applicator tip to have a hole about 5mm (3/16 inch). After using a small amount of each type, I fitted a yellow cap into each nozzle. in the nozzle hole. Silicone tubing with caps were stored indoors at room temperature. After five weeks I pulled the plugs out and

1+ year fresh sealer in a tube

In the world of paint and sealants there are THOUSANDS of great tools and gadgets that will improve your life. some work IT WORKS OUT. Have used these sealant end caps for several years. how good are they 1. More than once a tube that has been sealed for at least ONE YEAR has remained fully usable after opening. (Caulk caps pay off, of course.) 2. The yellow silicone cap always closes tightly and is easy to remove. It might have needed a little twisting after a few months of not using it. The…

Worth every penny Works well with self-adhesive caulk

Overpriced? Yes. Are they worth it? Definitive. These things just work every time. Between the outer seal and the inner pin, every tube I've used it in is saved. And by that I don't just mean that I managed to get the tubes working again. You seal them, store them for months, take them back and it looks like they've never been opened. The sealant begins to flow immediately and flows evenly. I'm not sure if that's intentional, but I have to believe it: they're perfectly balanced, so when you…
