The good thing about this Orbi is that it's easy to install and that's when your problems begin. called Comcast, registered the Mac, and activated the device. So far everything has worked fine. When I checked the internet speed the next day, the speed did not exceed 470 Mbps. I called Comcast first and they fixed the issue within 2-3 days, tried all sorts of settings and found nothing wrong with them. I was worried about this purchase and installation (I'm over 70 years old) because I have little technical knowledge and skills. However, by simply following the instructions in the app, I was able to install Orbi and it was up and running in about 15-20 minutes. Due to my terrible experience with both the Orbi CBK40 and Netgear customer service, I was compelled (for the first time ever) to leave a review. Reiterates the point of view of other critical reviewers that if a crash occurs you will inevitably fail the app and be left with no options. The main unit worked intermittently. Wow! I've spent untold hundreds of years trying to get WiFi to work in my old two story house with walls and rooms. While I definitely didn't like spending another $400, I got desperate and decided to give it a try. With the ORBI system, I get a steady 200Mbps in every corner of the house, even in the downstairs media room where I could never get a reliable signal. I can finally cut the cable and not suffer from constant buffer errors. Very, very happy with this ORBI system.

Was very excited to try the new Orbi system with integrated cable modem. When they called Cox to activate my new modem they said the CBK40 was not on their system and could not be activated. Another problem: CBK40 uses old DOCSIS3.0 technology (3.1 is the new standard). Note: Revain's description says it works with Cox and it even has the Cox logo on the box. Netgear needs to find out!
