Description of πŸ”’ SmartStraps 10-Foot Cambuckle (4pk) - 900 lbs Break Strength, 300 lbs Safe Work Load - Enhanced Security for Transporting Fragile & Lighter Loads

PROTECT LIGHTER LOADS: Ratchet tie-downs can put too much pressure on lighter, fragile loads. These cambuckle straps have a break strength of 900lbs and safe work load of 300lbs, but will not damage your load. ADD SECURITY THAT ROPE DOES NOT PROVIDE: No matter your knot-tying skills, using rope to tie down cargo for transport is not ideal. SmartStraps Cambuckle tie-downs give you peace of mind that your load is secure. DESIGNED FOR USE ON CARGO THAT ASSISTS WITH TENSION: Cambuckle straps should be used to secure items that assist in applying tension to the strap, such as ATVs, motocross bikes and other mid to lightweight vehicles with shocks. STRONG AND DURABLE: Extremely strong, non-marring coated steel S-hooks stay in place throughout your journey and prevent damage to your vehicle. SMARTWEB TECHNOLOGY: Our technology gives you a strap that is stronger and more abrasion resistant than standard webbing, so you know your cargo is safe and secure.

watch the video The missing 5th star means NO DIRECTIONS!

After 20 minutes of yelling, swearing and assembling the belts as they LOOK in the pictures, I watched the video and finally got it right. There are no assembly instructions anywhere on the packaging. The natural tendency is to thread them to the end, but this makes them work in reverse. You have to squeeze the lever to tighten them, but just pull the hook to loosen them. They're a little tricky to assemble even if you know how. I had to take a small screwdriver (a small nail would work too)…

  • Very impressive

A strap that YAK works well for gear

these straps can't be beat for the price, love the hooks on the ends, not just having one strap and having to thread the end of the straps through them all Attachment points just hook it in like a regular ratchet strap. Kambakl is holding up very well with no issues or complaints, they do their job perfectly for this price. If you're like me and worry too much after buckling up, tie a knot at the end of the tag near the clasp. If it ever comes off on you, you know it won't come off completely…

They do an excellent job and are very easy for me to use.

. Works perfectly and is very easy for me to use. No fuss, no fuss. The straps were too long so I cut them off and melted the cut ends with a burlee torch to keep them from unraveling. So they are strong enough for my application. The price was ridiculously cheap so I'm considering buying another set of these just to have as spares or whatever. I like bright green because it's easy to see when I need to load and unload my chair in the dark. I can't find anything wrong with these bands. A-good…

Pros
  • . Easy to install.
Cons
  • . High price.

They work perfectly

I have purchased several sets of cambacks in the past and they work great. It's not the strongest strap I've used, but it will get the job done. I would compare them to the HDX brand that Home Depot sells. It took me 10 feet to secure items in my pickup truck from corner to corner. If I was doing something heavier or belaying a heavy load, I would take something with more power. You must load the strap from the bottom of the Kambakla and UNDER the steering wheel. Holds up great. If you load…

Powerful and easy to use with moderate loads.

These cam buckle straps are durable and easy to use. Ignore reviews of them slipping or having no "holding power". It is likely that these people inserted the strap into the buckle incorrectly. Check out another reviewer's helpful video. If you look at the end of the buckle and press the button, the "teeth" are on the upper "jaw". Do not insert the end of the long strap into an open jaw. Instead, insert it from the back so that the end of the strap comes out of your jaw when you press the…

Works with a specific type of load

First, there are no instructions, it keeps slipping. After figuring out the correct installation, I still slipped through. Then I did a video search on this brand (Smart Cam Buckle Belts) and found out why these straps are not suitable for my load (kayaks on a flatbed). Straps require a load to exert limiting resistance/tension in order for the teeth to remain engaged on the buckle. For example, motorcycles with shock absorbers. The video also shows when such straps should not be used on an ice

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great for kayaks! Best in Canvas and Mounts

I used these to mount my kayak on the roof of my '03 Chevy Blazer 4 door and they worked great! I was a little skeptical because I used ratchet tow straps and they CLOSED the kayak on the roof. However, I've read that you run the risk of damaging the kayak by squeezing it too tight with ratchet straps. With these cam straps, the kayak is not as tight, but more than adequately secured. I strapped my 10ft Ascend FS10 recreational kayak to the roof and cruised the freeway for 4 hours averaging…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
