A little bit not what I expected, generally fine.

The adapter itself is good, but its software part let us down. On Windows everything is fine, yes, but on Linux it's a problem. Be careful, never deal with Wi-Fi network controllers from the manufacturer Realtek. Of course, I found the driver, unofficial, which performs almost all functions, except for packet injection, but the sediment remained. Yes, and I also had to tinker with it, compile it, manually install it, then still a pleasure.

Pros
  • 1. Reasonable price; 2. The presence of an antenna; 3. Reliability. I bought two adapters in early December 2022, at the time of writing this review, nothing happened to the adapters, just covered with dust, but they work correctly.
Cons
  • The main disadvantage of this model, and specifically the V2 revision with the Realtek controller, is the terrible support for Linux-based operating systems, troubles with drivers. The official drivers only support older versions of Linux, the built-in drivers of the kernel itself have limited functionality. For example, it is simply impossible to create an access point, the packet monitoring mode does not work, as well as the injection of packets into the air (the last two functions are not needed by an ordinary user).

I should have looked better, I spent money on an ordinary product.

Compared to the new WN822N, which was taken as a replacement, it sees fewer networks in an apartment building, therefore, the reception power is small, although it breaks through 1 concrete wall calmly, enough for small apartments. Communication breaks are not noticed within 3 years. Movies online, the torrent does not break the connection, but 150 Mbps is already not enough, the distribution speed cuts (in comparison with the WN822N - 300 Mbps) at peak half somewhere. As a conclusion, it is…

Pros
  • Easy to set up, plug and forget, compact.
Cons
  • After 3 years of stable operation, USB began to randomly fall off. Critical bug in online games. 150 Mbps is no longer enough for a normal network, it will not allow you to realize all the charm of high-speed optical networks.

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

The connection speed to the router is 150 Mbps. The built-in chip in the laptop "Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter" produces 10.5 megabytes / sec. TL-WN722N v3.0 "TP-Link Wireless USB Adapter" squeezes out only 8.05 megabytes / sec. Its pros: - full antenna, detachable; - does not heat up; - comes with a usb cable - there is an indication; - WPS connection; - beautiful. Got cons: - takes up a lot of space in usb (next to itself, above and below), use only on a cable.

Good product, I recommend that you try it.

Bought for a desktop computer. At first I was even glad of a good signal, but all good things come to an end quickly. 1) The first thing that spoiled the impression about the company was the utility for quickly searching for a wi-fi network. It is convenient, informative, many times better than the built-in from Windows . But because of it, the working window is constantly reset and it is treated only by removing it. For all the time using the adapter, the bug has not been fixed (maybe they…

Pros
  • Price, usb, good range.
Cons
  • The utility that comes with the kit. The network drops out intermittently.

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

There used to be a Dlink whistle - the speed was 2-3Mbps, it caught a little better depending on the location in space. With TP-LINK 30Mbps regardless of location! Highly recommend! : You can also find the TL-WN722NC model on the market - they differ only in the stand, but the price can be better. Has pros: The perfect model! All at the highest level. -Very fast! - Breaks through all walls. -Extension cable included (finally no need to twist the system unit) -Quick and easy installation

Good and quality product, but there are flaws.

TP-Link is clearly in no hurry to make firewood specifically for windows 10, as well as utilities. As a result, you have to use a third-party Connectify to distribute wifi. For ~8 hours of use, I noticed short-term increases in ping in dota and war thunder, but this is not critical, although it is unpleasant. I think in time I will find a solution. With its pros. Replaced 822N. It works almost as well, while I have a fairly large distance to the router + the floor between the 1st and 2nd…

Bad product, not worth the money.

win 7 -64, easy to install and configure. After about a month, it falls off the network, loses the signal and cannot recover in any way. It helps only the removal of all firewood with cleaning the registry and reinstallation. After some time, the picture repeats itself. At the same time, the system starts searching for a network only through wifi, LAN is on, there is a connection, the system does not see it. Disabling the routing service fixes this glitch. On another machine, also with win 7…

Pros
  • works exactly 1 month
Cons
  • The same

Good product for me, no problems at all.

I bought for the resuscitation of an old laptop, in which the iron was slowly dying. Hard changed to SSD, and instead of the dead Broadcom, I bought this device. I don’t know how anyone, but in my case, if the neighbors below have a powerful emitter that clogs all channels, this device allows you to get speeds over 30 Mbps and almost 20 uploads. In the same place, modern laptops in this range give out no more than 23 for reception and 15 for transmission. Now the younger one uses the old laptop

Pros
  • 1. The presence of an extension cord, which allows you not to block neighboring ports. 2. Design. 3. Quality.
Cons

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

A good, suitable adapter, the best friend of a network engineer, wardriver and home user. I don’t understand why such a low rating, because there are an order of magnitude more reviews with five stars than others. Has some pros Great sensitivity, sees all neighbors' home routers within a radius of 300 meters. Works stably, does not heat up, the speed never drops. The set includes a high-quality meter usb-extension cable, a disk with a driver, an antenna. Atheros chipset with node reassociation…

A completely ordinary product, nothing remarkable.

signal level with a self-made biquad antenna for 50 meters from another house (router under the table, adapter on the window) with it -67 dbm, and with the Chinese one with aliexpress (Mediatek MT7601U) for $ 3, the signal level was -59 dbm (but the Chinese usb - the connector was loose and it fell off constantly) . This one is 3 times more expensive and worse Changed rating from 2 to 3 signal is very bad but he lives for almost six months and 2 Chinese with Ali whose signal was very good…

Pros
  • If the router is not far away and there are no obstacles, then it will be able to connect
Cons
  • signal level with a homemade biquad antenna for 50 meters from another house (router under the table, adapter on the window) with it is only -67 dbm

Only disadvantages and no pluses, do not buy.

TP-LINK TL-WN722N Windows xp sp 2 (32bit), connected directly to USB 2.0 on mat. board (with a regular extension cable the same situation), the network signal level is maximum, with a connected router all other wifi N type devices (like b) work fine, encryption method, preamble, frequency 20/40, standards only N, only G, only B (in router settings) do not affect breaks (random)

Pros
  • Signal reception range
Cons
  • Terrible software (Utility) is easier and more reliable to connect through standard Windows OS tools, there are no normal drivers for Win XP 32bit, although support is declared (there is this system in the driver archives) does not work in N mode (only B in all firewood), and this is 65 Mb instead of 150 Mb. All versions of the drivers were tried, there was no solution to the issue, 65 Mb instead of 150 Mb (which is not critical), but constant disconnections (the device itself does not fall off, all checkboxes in the device manager are removed (on usb off)) do not allow using this " product", breaks are random and do not depend on the load and signal level, as well as the presence of a usb extension cable.

The best thing Ive ever used, a great item for everyone!

The internal wifi module died in the laptop. I took this outside. A little over 1000 came out. Works half a year at all with a bang. What is far from the router, what is very close - there is enough speed. Does not turn off, does not overheat, the included cable has excellent bandwidth. I was afraid to take it, because I found negative reviews, but I did not regret it. Installed on both Ubuntu and Windows without any problems. Recommend to those who don't want to overpay!

Pros
  • No problems put and determined. Great extension cable included. Removable antenna. It does not heat up, it keeps the connection perfectly, it does not cut down, the software in the kit works perfectly. Great price!
Cons
  • Not found.

Mediocre product, probably won't use.

The piece of iron is excellent, with a default antenna it breaks through a couple of walls. But in order to use it, you need to have the necessary knowledge. I didn’t start under the eight, so I had to assemble a bare debian without Xs on a virtual machine, for the sake of one piece of iron. I spent a couple of hours just so that it would work without failures and breaks every five minutes. But now it works very stable.

Pros
  • Common atheros ar9721 chip
Cons
  • poor driver, poor company. Under the eight breaks connections

Good product, not disappointed.

There are also drivers for linux (compat-drivers) with which there should be no problems with installation. The device is a cut-down budget option for supporting 8022022 n networks, the price is justified if you don't want to overpay another 500 for a device that will have full support for 8022022 n. Its pros: Detachable high gain antenna (4 dbi) and support for Lite-N standard (up to 150 mbps). + Compatible with regular wifi 8022022 b/g. The device does not heat up at all. Different cons: It…

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

Took for 500r. in *. Inserted into the board directly without an extension cable in USB3 with the antenna down. The reception is good, but I specifically chose the channel on which all the neighbors with their apparently automatic channel selection do not sit) Works in conjunction with the Asus WL500GPv2 router with firmware from Oleg. The antenna also looks down there, the polarization is in the same plane. For several days, not a single glitch, the adapter itself is slightly warm to the…

Pros
  • In Windows 10, it’s enough to say that you need to take firewood from the disk, after which it will install everything itself and then connect it using regular means without any questions. USB extension included.
Cons
  • Not found.

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

On an ancient computer under Windows XP, it started up with a half-kick: I installed the driver from the supplied disk and turned on a couple of services. It is 7-9 meters to the router, plus a powerful angle at the bend of the apartment (brick house): nevertheless, the connection is stable, the speed is 90-120 Mbps (which is pretty decent for this router and this apartment, and the Internet is not so fast there) .

Pros
  • - Easy to install. - Connection quality.
Cons
  • - The cap will be lost in an instant (even if put on, it can be removed very easily). - Rather big sizes, it is more convenient to connect through the complete extender. - Ideally, the driver would be nice to place on the device itself. - The box is amazing in size, but 95% consists of air.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

When installing, not all devices install the software. I thought that it was not compatible with W10, but it turned out to be something else - the adapter does not detect wireless networks. Go to "control panel" - "system and security" - "administration" and start "services". In the list, find the "WLAN AutoConfig Service" service. Opposite it should be written "Working". If it does not work for you, then right-click on it, select "properties" and in the line "startup type" set…

Pros
  • The first day of work is normal.
Cons
  • For the first days of work did not find.

The quality is worse than I have ever seen, a complete disappointment

I bought this version (V2) device to replace the same version (V1) device, which showed itself perfectly and worked out of the box in Linux. V2 is not defined in Linux of any assembly, no matter what modules or firewood you download. tech operators. TP-LINK support on this issue cannot solve the issue, referring to the fact that there is no experience on Linux OS, although the driver is located on the office. manufacturer's website. I do not recommend for working in Linux, look for V1 if…

Pros
  • For Windows and Mac only.
Cons
  • Please note if you are going to purchase that the V2 revision of this device does not work on Linux OS due to the replacement of the chip from Atheros AR9002U (V1) to Realtek RTL8188EUS (V2)!

I like everything, the price and quality are acceptable.

I had experience with the wi-fi adapter TL-WN353GD of the same company, I’ll tell you it was dancing with a tambourine! Setting up in access point mode took me 2 days)) I was afraid to take this device, as it turned out in vain! A pleasant thing in all relations. I thought for a long time to buy with or without an antenna, I took this one and did not lose! The signal is "excellent" only 7 meters from it in direct line of sight (I think that without an antenna it was generally a disaster). This…

This product NO longer supports packet injection.

If you are considering buying this wifi security test product, please reconsider. This product is known for its ability to put itself into surveillance mode, which allows you to inject packets. The problem is that TP-Link recently modified the adapter to use a completely different chipset that is not compatible with penetration tests. In fact, as far as I can tell, it's not compatible with Linux at all. For some reason, TP-Link didn't feel the need to tell customers that their product is now…
