A developers experience with Ethereum

I struggled for quite a time on to getting on Ethereum or not. And as a software developer my concern is not only on financial investment but also as a developer. Ethereum has a huge ecosystem and there is a lot of room for development.

First of all the financial charts shows a high performing company. Only the last 6 months it had increased its price by 800% and reached a market capital of around 400B; and is a company that it shakes the throne of Bitcoin since 2015.

Until now everything looks charming to invest some spare change. Considering that if had invest 100$  a year ago then today I would had 800$. And If it had collapsed i would had lost only a 100$. Not great, not terrible ( at least where I live).

But there is more with Ethereum; an entire ecosystem!
I watched some YouTube introductions and read the official tutorials. 
For a developer like me it looked like I was entering a candy shop. DeFi, NFT, parallel coins. The traditional "Hello World" program was quite easy to build and it was very inspiring. Soon I was able to understand the core concept of it as also a couple of methods to turn my PC ventilators to a helicopter.

The knowledge I gained gave me confidence to invest a small amount equal to a pizza couple of weeks ago and now I have an extra coke earned. Not great, not terrible again but it's only the beginning. If I add a pizza amount once a month,  it can revert me back much more than if I had kept it in my traditional bank account and without actual risk.

In conclusion, if you have some programming knowledge you will find a very interesting field to expand. The Ethereum developers have quite high salary range right now. The hand-on experience that you will gain will make you to understand the entire blockchain concept and you will find it very inspiring way of working also.

If you are concerned on the financial investment perspective then it looks like a secure investment in long term. If you are thinking to invest a dollar today and take back millions then forget it. Ethereum has already a capital market of few hundred billions and the expansion to a few hundred trillions is actually impossible. But it looks very realistic estimation that it can double or even triple your investment in 5-8 years.
