Looking forward to an oil change

Just received this yesterday in preparation for my first oil change on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek at 6000 mile intervals. It was a little difficult to straighten the threads after removing the factory drain plug, but once I've installed and tightened it I'm ready for future oil changes. The design is handy in that the threading keeps the valve outlet on top of the oil pan, which should help keep it from snagging on anything. I bought this model with a small plastic clip that additionally secures…

Great comfort! best engine parts

I wish I had invented them, they are amazing! I've used mine on a Subaru with a crush washer instead of a fiber washer with no problems. Installation takes the same amount of time as installing an oil pan plug but saves me the time of using EVERY tool for my next oil change. It also saves the time required to check the cone seal for leaks at every oil change, ie idle and check, drive and check. I don't have to stock up on pucks either. Overall it's not a huge time saver, but it's very handy…

Good option for 2015 Forester

Got this for a 2015 Subaru Forester. (I also have an F105S for a 2003 Forester so I pretty much have the same rating there too) I do my own oil changes and when I do I always have oil on hand. Splashes with oil, but at least I don't. So I replaced the oil plug with this and it's much cleaner and easier now. The clip keeps the tab in place so I don't think it accidentally opens. By the way, the 2015 Forester has the oil filter on top of the cylinder block, so with this valve I can change the oil

WRONG ITEM in Oil Drain Plug

***Probably a Revains fault, but while they claim it 'fits my car' it most certainly isn't. Not even the same thread size or style (2000 Subaru Forester L). *** Two stars refer to the valve design. It was hard work. But after seeing it first hand I can see where there are several potential points of failure. For this reason I will probably not buy any of them again or even use them. The actual valve handle has a plastic tab that should secure the valve handle. Well it doesn't work very well as…

What a new idea that should be part of the standard equipment!

Why don't all car manufacturers preinstall this thing in every car in the world! If my Craftsman mower has it, why doesn't my Subaru have it? I just did my first oil change and installed it on my 2016 Crosstrek. It was easy to put on. Don't be a dummy like me and forget that it's upside down when you open and close it to check after installation. At first I thought I had damaged it, but I forgot that I have to "pull" the lever down to open it. I read that many reviews said not to over tighten…

Painless oil change, not a drop spilled

If you want to change your own oil or start, this will make your life a lot easier. Install it once when you need to change your oil, from then on it's just a push of a button. No need to break out bits and torque wrenches, no more worries about stuck plugs or broken threads. You no longer have to worry about where the drain plug ends or whether the oil jet hits the oil pan perfectly. With this kit, I simply place the milk jug under my Subaru Forester and fish the hose out of the nipple on the…

Fits oil drain plugs for 19 WRX

Threads look well made and overall the product is heavy and feels quality. My OEM drain plug (probably too soft for metal) started leaking after my last (4th oil change). This prompted me to finally pull the fumoto trigger. Expensive compared to a regular drain plug, but the convenience and not having to replace the OEM drain plug every 2 oil changes makes it worth it in my opinion. I didn't buy this valve right away thinking I wouldn't be able to drain the oil. the same amount, since the…
